The Castle of Plessis-Bourré

An architectural masterpiece!

Situated to Ecuillé, in 10km of the hotel, the Castle of Plessis-Bourré is a magnificent building of the XVth century surrounded with staves in water.

Its donjon, its tours, its drawbridges, its covered way, its strengthened doors and its wide staves make a real fortress.

Still lived, you will discover inside the castle the seigneurial apartments richly furnished and decorated and a surprising and magnificent wooden ceiling of the guardroom, painted by characters and by animals.

The Castle of Plessis-Bourré was the place of shooting of numerous movies such as Skin of Donkey, the Hunchback or still Fanfan La Tulipe.
